Amazing Andalus

For our inaugural journey, Queen City Diwan partnered with Travel Safina to create a bespoke trip across the heartland of Andalus, landing in Málaga and taking in Córdoba, Sevilla, Granada, and the Alpujarras beyond. With an outstanding group, from families with kids (elementary school through high school) to young professionals and retirees, we built community, forged friendships, stayed in delightful hotels, ate amazing halal food, and made memories that won’t just last a lifetime, they’re helping us focus on what life is for.
Uzbekistan Next
September 7 – 13, 2025
Arriving in Uzbekistan, our international cohort, with travelers from Botswana and Boston, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Germany, admitted they didn’t know what to expect. What we found was transformative: fantastic food, delightful performances, deep and revealing conversations, and faith, friendship, unbelievable views, and unforgettable mosques and monuments. The journey took us through Tashkent, a Soviet-era lakeside resort, and on to Bukhara and Samarkand.
Queen City University: Andalus
January 3–9, 2026
Our first-ever Queen City University college leadership retreat brought students from across the United States, representing Harvard University, the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), the University of Texas (Austin), and the University of Maryland, along with students from the United Kingdom and Kuwait, for a journey across history, into our faith, and forward to the future. Through spectacular tours, outdoor experiences, great food, late-night conversations, honest reflections, unique classes, and personal and professional development, we worshipped together, learned together, and grew together.
This retreat showed us where we can make the deepest difference, and it’s why Queen City University is now the whole of what we do. Our next retreat takes place in Andalus over Winter Break 2027. Find out more here.
